Centrally located on peaceful Sandy Pond a harbor to Lake Ontario, this
Lake Ontario cottage rental has over 100 feet of private shoreline.
The Rendezvous and our other two Lake Ontario cottage rentals are directly on
the shore of Sandy Pond and are conveniently located opposite the channel
to Lake Ontario for safe docking yet quick and easy access to Lake Ontario
fishing and swimming. Salmon River fishing is a fast 10 minutes away. Our
Lake Ontario cottage rentals are easy to find located ¼ mile off Rte. 3 on
a private road. The private road (for cottage owners and guests) provides
easy access to this property.
This Lake Ontario cottage rental is one of three separate
cottages with each enjoying a large 40-foot private dock and over 100 foot
of private shoreline. Together these spacious properties command a
large 390 feet of contiguous Sandy Pond shoreline. These Lake Ontario
cottage rentals are perfect for private family New York vacations, fun
family reunion vacations, exciting spring and fall outdoor pursuits and quiet
romantic escapes.
Relax in the great room with its open ceiling and classic knotty pine walls, which are adorned with photographs taken of local flora and fauna and of many of our guests. The gas fireplace heater in the living room complements the already rustic décor of this fun Lake Ontario cottage rental. Enjoy views of Sandy Pond, the Lake Ontario channel, and Skinner and Lindsey Creek from throughout the living area. With four cozy bedrooms and two clean bathrooms, the Rendezvous is well appointed for up to 6 guests. This cottage is a retreat especially enjoyed by outdoor style people.
While spring and fall’s main focus maybe Lake Ontario fishing, Salmon River
fishing and Sandy Pond fishing, summer’s main event, is for fun and relaxing
– be it relaxing-fun or fun relaxing! Summer vacationers enjoy the private
dock fishing, swimming in the crystal clear water of Lake Ontario, large and
small water boating, toasty campfires, roasting perfect marshmallows, outdoor
barbecuing, hiking, biking, golfing, visiting scenic areas and other fun
pursuits. At the end of the day, cook a gourmet supper on the outside
barbecue and savor the peace, quiet and solitude of Sandy Pond. After
dinner gather around a warm, roaring campfire along the edge of the Pond. Listen to
the air whistle through the duck’s wings; hear the swish as the ducks feet
kiss the waters surface; listen to their quiet chuckling. Relive the fun
adventures and secret discoveries of your day’s activities with family,
friends, and a sky with a million stars.
While still enjoyed by savvy summer vacationers as the
most beautiful of all seasons at Lake Ontario, the second half of August and the
first half of September also begins the peak of Lake Ontario fishing for salmon.
The fast action peaks around September 1 with the year’s best salmon fishing.
Lake Ontario fishing for salmon continues strong at least through the first two
weeks of September. Exceptional Salmon River fishing and Sandy Creeks fishing
for salmon follows from mid September through October. The rendezvous
cottage is a quiet, peaceful and relaxing setting after an action packed day of
Salmon River fishing or Lake Ontario fishing.
Fall is also beautiful and inviting in the Lake
Ontario/Salmon River area. With maples aplenty, the fall colors are truly
breathtaking and make for a spectacular backdrop to the Salmon River fishing.
Picture this: Fly fisherman battling huge fish surrounded by salmon,
seemingly everywhere, leaping high out of the creeks What excitement! Fisherman
and non-fisherman alike delight in observing the Salmon River fishing
activities. Coming up!!! Coming down!!?
Sounds and sights of honking geese flying and landing,
evening flights of ducks coming into feed, splashing fish, feeding seagulls and
fiery red sunsets all in front of this Lake Ontario cottage rental overflow the
senses with the awe and beauty of this natural almost secret world. This
place will bring out the kid in you!
